# Volume

Volume indicators are technical indicators that use the total amount of money traded on an asset as the input to their formula. ‘Money’ can be expressed in any kind of currency, but the most commonly used are dollars, or Bitcoin when trading cryptocurrencies. Volume indicators are commonly used to identify the overall strength of price movements.
