Deploying a Backtest

Happy with the results? Time to deploy your strategy on realtime data.

Once you have tested your strategy and are relatively confident that it is working as intended, you can deploy the strategy in paper-trade mode. This means the strategy will be deployed to Signals' server farm and will continuously execute on real time data from exchanges.

How to Deploy a Strategy

To deploy a strategy, first go to the backtest detail for the strategy version you want to deploy. Then, click the deploy button in the top-right corner to open the Deploy dialog.

You will be prompted to confirm that you wish to deploy the strategy version. Click continue to proceed, or cancel to select another version to deploy.

You will then be asked to set the initial strategy balance. This is the figure which the deployed strategy will use to perform its simulations, so you can match it to however much capital you wish to trade with.

Confirming the initial strategy balance will finalize the deployment and start the execution of paper trades. You will be navigated to the deployment detail where you will be able to see real-time results. You can also terminate the paper trade execution at any time, from the deployment detail.

In the Basic Plan, you can have two active deployments at a time. You can upgrade your plan at any time.
